Octavia Spencer spoke to HeyUGuys at the Ride or Die Premiere at Ham Yard Hotel, where the Oscar-winning actress opened up about playing Debbie Claybourne opposite Hannah Waddingham's secret assassin Judith Burton. Spencer revealed that the entire creative team — including showrunner Tessa Coates — committed to the project at the pitch stage, calling the partnership with Waddingham one built on trust, instinct and total commitment to the bit.

Plot: Ride or Die follows best friends Debbie Claybourne (Octavia Spencer) and Judith Burton (Hannah Waddingham), who thought they knew everything about each other — except Judith turns out to be an international assassin. When a mysterious figure emerges from Judith's past and a hit goes horribly wrong, both of their worlds are turned upside down as they're forced to go on the run together, in a race against time across Europe with law enforcement, assassins and dangerous criminals at their heels.
Ride or Die will be available on Prime Video from 15th July 2026.
