This bike was so much fun! However, if I had a Tallboy here for a while (hint hint, Santa Cruz…) I would swap a few things ASAP. First up- tires! Something more robust- like EXO+ front and Double Down rear, or WTB Light casing front and Tough rear, would fit the bill.
Next I would ditch those stock organic brake pads. I LOVED those SRAM Motive brakes on the Pivot SLAM last year- and the main difference was simply the brake pad compound.
Otherwise, I’d just ride it. It’s so good!
