Veeru's been loveable and happy as one of our Sanctuary Sweethearts since 2017, when we rescued him after he lost an eye and suffered countless wounds in a beating done to him as an act of vengeance by a neighbor of Veeru's (then) owner.
Today, Veeru is one of our most treasured family members. Veeru's not the "easiest" donkey among our herd of angels--he can be both playful and cantankerous with other donkeys, occasionally chasing less "alpha" personalities, but he's a loveable little dickens most of the time and it has given us unlimited joy to know he's forever safe here with many years remaining to brighten the lives of everyone around him with his big personality.
