Ripple XRP: the Battle Over Scale !!

Jungle Inc XRP Video Yesterday

Description

The XRP Ledger reserve debate is bigger than whether 1 XRP—or even twenty cents—is affordable for one person.

The real question is whether businesses can economically onboard millions of users while the network still protects itself from spam, unnecessary ledger growth, and rising infrastructure costs.
In this video, I break down the disagreement between Daniel Keller and XRPL validator Vet:

Daniel argues that lowering the account reserve to 0.1 XRP would make it far cheaper for wallets, payment platforms, stablecoin providers, and AI-agent applications to activate users at scale.

Vet argues that reserves exist for a reason: every account consumes permanent ledger resources, and making account creation too cheap could weaken an important defense against abuse.
Both sides raise legitimate concerns—but the conversation is often oversimplified.

Asking whether one person can afford the reserve is not the same as asking whether a company can efficiently sponsor ten million accounts. At the same time, saying “security comes first” does not prove that the current 1 XRP reserve is the correct price.

We explore:
• Why reserves exist on the XRP Ledger
• How reserve costs affect mass onboarding
• Why sponsored reserves do not fully settle the issue
• The difference between transaction spam and permanent ledger growth
• Why XRP investors should care about reserve policy
• What evidence validators need before lowering the reserve
• A practical path forward that supports adoption without compromising security

The reserve is not merely XRP sitting inside a wallet. It is the price the network places on permanent participation.

The key question is not whether XRPL should choose adoption or security. It is whether the network can measure the real cost of ledger state and set the reserve at the lowest level that remains safe.
Share your view in the comments: should validators reduce the base reserve to 0.1 XRP, keep it at 1 XRP, or wait for more technical evidence?
