Description
I feed my Cane Corso Mastiff a rawas part of a natural raw diet. while enjoying a biologically appropriate meal. This is done responsibly, safely, and in accordance with local regulations. Before judging, please consider where all meat comes from.
In New Zealand, possums are a serious environmental pest. They were introduced into our ecosystem and have caused significant damage to native forests and near-extinct wildlife. With no natural predators, population control relies on human intervention.
I joined a licensed pest control officer to humanely remove possums in urban areas. This ensured the animals were not poisoned, unlike some control methods used in rural settings. This video shows honest, Kiwi-style pest control and the use of organic, raw meat to feed my dogs rather than letting it go to waste.
According to my veterinarian, raw possum and rabbit can be excellent food sources for dogs if prepared and handled correctly. As shown, my Cane Corso enjoys the possum meal, while my bully dog Ember prefers chicken instead.
All feeding is done responsibly. The meat was frozen for several weeks prior to feeding to help eliminate parasites. This video is for documentary and educational purposes only and reflects what works for my dogs.
