Hello My Beautiful People! Welcome back to the New Studio! We are so thrilled to be shooting videos here at By The Sea Studio & Gallery! This has been a dream come true! I had my first students here the other day and we had such a wonderful time pouring on this big huge table together, it was awesome! Today we are doing one of the pours that I am teaching at our Art Lab Retreat, the Transparent Base Modern Minimal pour! (check out our website at www.ArtLabRetreat.com) I love the simplicity of these and how beautifully the colors show up on that gorgeous negative space! They also look fantastic hanging on a wall!
I'm using a 24x24 inch gallery wrapped canvas from Artists Loft.
I have pre-painted the canvas Sap Green from Blick.
Colors
Blick
- Sap Green (base)
- Metallic Teal
- Brilliant Yellow Green
Liquitex Basics

DecoArt Americana
Decor Metallics

There is NO Silicone
in Any of My Paint.
Observations:
I love how this piece turned out! The negative space shows off the colors so beautifully! The gold is sparkling and the other colors are stretched and blending into each other in a gorgeous way. I love where the paint is anchored over the edges and stretched out.
There were a few areas that I had touched that ended up showing in the dry results. After everything was dry, I went in with my base color, that sap green from Blick. It fixed all the imperfections in the piece and now it looks perfect.
Im so excited to show you all our new Studio and Gallery Space! I hope you like it!
Thanks for spending your time with us!
