This week at the shop, we continued making progress on Michael Anthony’s ’57 Nomad! Michael is the legendary bassist of the rock band Van Halen, and I’ve had the pleasure of working on several of his vehicles over the years.
The Nomad has been in the shop for a few months now, and we’re making some exciting upgrades. One of the biggest additions is a custom audio system from ARC Audio. Since Michael has spent his life around great music, it was important that this car sound as good as it looks. Our goal is to integrate a high-end audio system that delivers incredible performance while preserving the classic appearance of the car.
We’re also refining the exterior. The current hood color has a yellow tint that doesn’t match the vision we have for the build. Steve Deman, our painter here at Foose Design, has already begun stripping the hood down so we can make it a softer, cleaner white that better complements the rest of the vehicle.
