Description
I haven’t talked much about this, but after C’vid, I think I experienced burnout.
While many DJs were eager to get back behind the decks, I felt the opposite. The excitement was gone. The motivation to perform just wasn’t there.
Then something changed.
Being part of this float, connecting with so many fandom communities, and seeing the causes, messages, and celebrations they rallied around reignited something in me. It reminded me that music can be more than a performance—it can help create moments, bring people together, and amplify something bigger than ourselves.
For the first time in a long time, I started producing and editing music again. I found a renewed sense of purpose. Combining my love of @StarWars with my mix craft sparked a creative fire I thought I had lost.
I used to chase festival stages. Now I chase moments—especially the ones that create joy, connection, and memories for others.
Catch my full performance from the @starwars float at the @capitalcitypride-desmoines1738 Pride Parade 🌈, in the related video.
Big thanks again to the @lucasfilm recognized @starwars costume and fan groups for the honor of playing music for your float again!
