Today's the final post that we're dedicating to the extraordinary 50th anniversary of the Rainbow's masterpiece "Rising", released on this day half of century ago. On Purple Friday we heard the actual members of the famous Mark2 lineup that recorded the album, yesterday we marked 16 years since we lost Ronnie Dio, and today we share with you a radio special dedicated to the release of this iconic album. It features archive interview from Ronnie James Dio himself, and short interviews with greats like Brian May and Bruce Dickinson, talking about the importance and influential impact that Ritchie Blackmore and the whole band left on that pivotal album.
