Description
Writing Fraktur with a quill is an absolute joy.
The main reason is the quill will allow you to do things more easily that a metal nib will, if indeed the metal nib will allow some the movements at all, or with extreme difficulty.
As it is organic, it responds to organic paper in a very interactive way.
Hairlines are sharper and hairline flourishes can be pulled out of the writing stroke more easily than with a metal nib.
I go through the whole experience here from choice of tools, to sharpening the quill knife and the quill, to ink stirring, ruling up and writing.
I hope you enjoy the process.
