Just like with Pokémon Sword and Shield back in November 2022: https://youtu.be/w93Q8gKmiys
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has reached its final season as of April 1, 2026 due to the release of a new game coming soon. While Winds and Waves are over a year away, Pokémon Champions is releasing next week, and it seems that will be the de facto area for competitive Pokémon going forward.
While I'm not normally into competitive battling, reaching Master Rank and winning a battle in said rank is necessary if you wish to obtain the Master Rank ribbon for an eligible ribbon master. I started doing this back in December 2025 since that was the final month where Mythicals were eligible, and as you can see, it was a big learning curve for me: https://youtu.be/DtM2Csi6XVQ
As long as you reach Master Rank, the following season you will drop down to Rank 9. If you get a single win, you can make it into Ultra Ball with no worry of deranking in Great Ball (Ranks 7-9). At Ultra Ball, you basically need a win streak of four to make it into Master Ball Rank, which is what I manage to do in this video.
Overall, I stuck to the same team as the one I used for Regulation J - Singles, simply swapping out Arceus with a Koraidon. It has Loaded Dice so I can make more use of Scale Shot, though Close Combat w/ Life Orb might be better overall.
