Description
Brutal rear. Feline front. Squarish. A #Peugeot…? Yes indeed. #PeugeotPolygonConcept is an instantly recognisable Lion.
In this episode, Max Ziegler and Antonin Maire d'Eglise (Exterior Designers), Sébastien Criquet (Exterior Advanced Design Lead), Guillaume Lemaitre (Interior Advanced Design Lead) and Matthias Hossann (Head of Peugeot Design) reveal how the exterior of the Peugeot Polygon Concept took shape.
Good design serves both aesthetic and functional purposes, and in this car, that principle shows in every detail. The aerodynamic wheel covers, developed with Nagami, do exactly what they look like they do. The micro-LED screens at the front and rear go further still: fully customisable in colour and configuration, they also mean that messages from the interior cockpit display are visible from outside the car. A deliberate blurring of the boundary between inside and out.
The bigger challenge behind it all: how do you offer more interior space while keeping the car's footprint as compact as possible? How do you honour an incredible heritage while projecting boldly into the future? For the Peugeot design team, that tension is not a problem to solve. It is what drives them every day.
