In this test, I’m using Ceram-XX polish with a single pad—the CSI blue foam cutting pad—on a dual action (DA) polisher to correct paint in direct California sunlight.
The vehicle is a 2012 Hyundai Elantra with 127,000 miles, exposed to harsh sun conditions daily.
I test three separate sections of the paint:
Heavy swirl marks
Wash-induced scratching
Sun-damaged clearcoat
Each section is polished using:
One polish
One pad
No shade
No multi-step process
