Olive Vox on Punk Contrasts | Sound & Style

FRET12 Short 2 months ago

Description

We caught up with @OliveVoxband at FRET12 while they were in Chicago, talking style, tour life, and how their look doesn’t always match the music. Shifting between aggressive fits and clean, unexpected ones. That contrast is the point.

Off stage looks a lot like on stage. Vintage tees, worn-in pieces, reliable pants that have seen it all. Nothing precious, just what works. Their style pulls from punk and alternative in equal measure, two worlds that have always gone hand in hand for them.

They mix it up too. Wax denim, cowboy boots, flowy shirts, thrifted finds. Pieces that feel lived-in but still hit with personality. (and yeah… those thrifted Balenciaga jeans… wild find)

🎸 Olive Vox recently released “14 Years,” featured in their latest FRET12 Session. Watch via link in bio. You can catch them live, with dates lined up through May.

💥 According to the band, they’ve got their eye on merch from bands like @turnstile @gangcalledspeed  and @amylandthesniffers6771
