"Nostalgia in Times Square" Walking Bass Line
"Nostalgia in Times Square" is a very popular Jazz Standard by Jazz double bassist, bandleader and composer Charles Mingus. It's played occasionally on gigs and jam sessions, and is therefore, fundamental Jazz repertoire for all Jazz musicians. In this bass line I present a collection of my favorite techniques, methods and approaches for playing walking bass lines. These ideas can be applied to any and all future tunes.
