Alford, Christine explained, "Yes, I'm half Filipino... but when you look at me, I am a Black woman. If you ask me, I'm a Black woman. I am."
Christine also opens up about her Mississippi roots, the lessons from her grandmother who grew up under segregation, and why she always knew she'd need to educate her children about race in America, including her son Nolan.
