The KTM 790 Duke is back for 2027, and we're in Austria to find out if it still makes the strongest case for the sub-£9,000 middleweight naked bike class.
In this first look, we run through everything that's changed on the new 790 Duke, including:
🏍️ An aggressive new front end with redesigned LED headlight
🏍️ New bodywork and fuel tank for a bigger, more substantial feel
🏍️ A new one-piece subframe that cuts 2kg from the bike's weight
🏍️ Updated ergonomics with a flatter, wider seat and revised riding position
🏍️ New rear LED indicator setup that also handles brake and tail light duties
🏍️ Revised air intakes that amplify that signature KTM airbox growl
Some things remain familiar, but KTM has clearly focused on giving the 790 Duke more presence and a more premium feel. The big question is: does that make it the bike to beat in the affordable middleweight naked category?
