In this video I document the entire experience of my 2018 Tesla Model 3 Performance rear left CV axle failure.
It started with small clicking noises while driving. I decided to pull into a QuikTrip gas station to inspect the problem, but as I slowed down the noise suddenly became much worse and turned into grinding sounds.
After inspecting the rear left wheel area, I found grease sprayed around the wheel from the failing CV axle.

Driving with a failing CV axle is dangerous and not recommended. A tow truck is always the safest option.
In this video I explain why I made the decision to carefully attempt driving the vehicle home at my own risk due to the dual motor AWD setup on the Tesla Model 3 Performance.
