MUFON Photo Analysis Team Head Marc D'Antonio & Photo Analyst Greg Cisko analyze aspects of the February 2023 Octagon Shaped UAP Shootdown Video released in the 3rd tranche of WAR.GOV/UFO files.
In February 2023 a Chinese Spy Balloon traversed the entire North American continent before being shot down in the Atlantic near the Carolinas.
The following week, the United States Air Force shot down an object near Barrow Alaska on the tundra, a second object in the western Canadian forests and a third octagonal shaped object near the Upper Michigan peninsula. That object had a tail of sorts hanging from its bottom and the engaging jet needed to fire two missile in order to bring it down.
The U.S. has claimed none of the objects were recovered.
Florida Representative Anna Paulina Luna wrote to the Department of War requesting the release of 46 specific UAP videos including the Lake Huron Shootdown video.
The video was just released in June 2026.
