Modernizing a 2007 Subaru WRX STI: Alpine Head Unit Upgrade!
In this video we have been working on this modded 2007 Subaru WRX STI to give it a major dashboard upgrade, bringing it into 2026 with an Alpine iLX-705D digital media receiver!
This has completely transformed the in-car experience, now the driver can utilise an HD 720p touchscreen 7" display embedded in the dashboard with physical buttons. The unit allows for wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity, Android Auto connectivity and also features an internal class D amplifier that powers the existing sound system.
The system also boasts dual camera connectivity, dual USB connectivity, HDMI feature and built-in TIDAL app for serious music lovers!
