Squadron Leader Saanya has created history in the Indian Air Force by becoming the first woman officer to earn the coveted Category-A Qualified Flying Instructor qualification. The Indian Air Force described the achievement with the words, “Excellence takes flight,” highlighting the significance of the milestone. The Cat-A QFI qualification is among the most respected instructional qualifications in the flying training stream. It is awarded to flying instructors who demonstrate exceptional standards of flying, teaching ability, professional judgement and operational maturity.
