Welcome to SUMtv Sabbath School, Lesson 4 of Quarter 3 in our study of First and Second Corinthians. In this lesson, Sin in the Church, we examine Paul's counsel regarding moral compromise within the Corinthian church and the importance of maintaining purity among God's people.
The apostle Paul addressed serious issues of sin that threatened the spiritual health and witness of the church. Rather than ignoring wrongdoing, Paul called believers to uphold biblical standards while extending grace and seeking restoration for those who had fallen. This lesson explores the balance between truth and mercy, discipline and redemption, and the responsibility of the church to reflect the character of Christ.
As Christians, we are called to live holy lives that honor God. Paul's message reminds us that sin affects not only individuals but the entire body of believers. Through Christ's power, however, repentance, forgiveness, and restoration are always possible.
