This is the third jacket I’ve worked on with Greg, and this one might be the most personal. It’s inspired by 1940s and 1950s workwear, old Connecticut industry, small-town craftsmanship, and my favorite town in Connecticut: Litchfield.
Litchfield may look like a postcard today, but this place was built by farmers, mill workers, blacksmiths, tradesmen, makers, and working families. That history shaped the feel of this jacket: rugged, simple, useful, and built with real character.
In this video, I walk through every detail of the jacket and matching vest, from the full-grain cowhide and dark hardware to the cinch back, pocket design, reproduction-style zippers, cotton lining, and the small choices that make handmade clothing feel different.
We also take a trip through Litchfield with my buddy Albert, stopping at Merritt Clarke’s and Litchfield Distillery along the way.
More than anything, this video is about supporting small makers. Greg Field is one of the best leather jacket makers out there, and I’m honored to have worked with him again.
