Every week during spring, new birds are migrating back to your yard, neighborhood, and local parks. You’ll hear them when they’re back, and they’ll tell you who they are with their songs and calls. Get started with learning bird sounds by getting to know 12 bird species that are commonly heard in spring in eastern North America: American Woodcock, Eastern Phoebe, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Louisiana Waterthrush, Black-and-white Warbler, Broad-winged Hawk, Ovenbird, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Baltimore Oriole, Gray Catbird, Wood Thrush, Indigo Bunting.
