Released on 17 July via Generation Smash, My Sound brings together KAKA李奕可 and Maski & Banga for a collaboration that captures the intensity and precision of contemporary techno while reflecting the increasingly international nature of electronic music.
Driven by an uncompromising rhythm, My Sound is built around a vocal refrain that quickly becomes its defining statement: "My groove, my life!" Delivered with conviction, the phrase carries a sense of confidence and self-belief, becoming part of the track's momentum rather than simply sitting above it. It is direct, memorable and perfectly matched to the record's unwavering energy.
The production develops with patience and control. Rolling percussion and a weighty low end establish the foundation before carefully introduced layers begin to expand the arrangement. Distorted synths, textured atmospheres and tightly programmed rhythms are added gradually, allowing the tension to build naturally. Every section introduces subtle changes in tone and intensity, creating movement without sacrificing the groove that drives the record from beginning to end.
