Description
In John 10, Jesus reveals that He is the door of the Sheep. He is the way into the sheep's pasture, or better understood today as the way to eternal life. But Jesus goes on to reveal something deeper. He shows His unity with the Father as a singularity, as He said, " I and the Father are One." For those who are born again, Jesus is likewise showing that we are His, and a desire to have such unity with all believers. This is the heart of our adoption into the family of God. Within this truth is the heart of our identity. Once we grasp who we are in Christ, as sons and daughters of the Almighty God, we are able to better understand our purpose, calling, and mission in this fallen world. The fear of tribulation evaporates, and we can finally break through the walls that have been hindering our faith.
