Flirt Records welcomes Jakob Mäder with Close To Me, a deep house release built on groove, warmth, and subtle emotion.
I first came across Jakob Mäder’s music a few years ago and kept following his releases from afar. We had never met, he was based in Stuttgart while I was building Flirt Records in Berlin, until one weekend he got in touch on Instagram because he was in town for a gig and came by one of my label events. It was a small, intimate night, and we immediately clicked. I knew I wanted to work with him, though the first attempt didn’t quite land. Jakob kept sending music, and eventually we found these two tracks, which felt like the right match for the direction I want Flirt Records to take. Close To Me is my first release with an external artist, and it feels like a natural next step: a house record built on trust, patience, and a shared love of warm, emotional dance music.
