Description
When Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) senior politician Pramono Anung took the helm as the governor of Jakarta on Feb. 20 last year, he knew he had a massive task ahead.
Jakarta, also known as the Big Durian, is a melting pot of cultures and social classes mixed together with urban and environmental issues that have gone unresolved for generations through numerous leadership changes.
One year into Pramono’s governorship, he sat down with The Jakarta Post’s Gembong Hanung in late January to talk about what he has done so far for Jakarta, the world’s most populous city, and his visions.
