Description
The Battle of Ilipa (206 BC) is regarded as the tactical masterpiece of Scipio Africanus. It was here that he proved himself a genius on a par with Hannibal, using a "deception" maneuver that left the Carthaginians paralyzed. It was the final blow that drove Carthage out of Spain for good.
