The latest Automobilista 2 update added the legendary Saleen S7-R GT1, and I couldn't wait to put it through its paces.
For this race I'm heading to the iconic 2005 layout of Monza for a 20-minute GT1 battle. What begins as a straightforward sprint quickly transforms into something completely different when the weather takes a turn for the worse.
Suddenly visibility disappears behind walls of spray, braking zones become a guessing game, and every lap is a fight just to keep the car pointed in the right direction. The combination of AMS2's AI, dynamic weather and the incredible Saleen S7-R created what may genuinely be the best single-player race I've ever experienced in a racing simulator.
