I had the perfect plan. Load up REPO, turn on an Unlimited Health mod so nothing can kill me, then stack a High Price mod so my loot is worth an absolute fortune. Invincible AND rich? There is no way I lose this run. I already spent the money in my head.
Then a monster showed up. It swung at me, again and again, and… nothing. Couldn't touch me. I'm literally unkillable, standing there like an idiot while it flails. Easiest win of my life, right?
Wrong. Because while it couldn't hurt ME, it could absolutely hurt my 360,000 valuable — and it beat that thing into NEGATIVE value. I didn't just lose the loot. I somehow ended the run owing the game money. Turns out "unlimited health" protects the player, not the payday.
Lesson learned: read what the mod actually does before you start counting the cash. Wrong mod, big feelings, no money.
