Ingredients
500 Gm – Java plum (Black plum)
1 ½ Tbsp – Ghee
2 Tbsp – White sesame seeds
1 Inch – Cinnamon stick
2 Tbsp – Honey
4 NO – Bread sliced
Method:-
1. Wash the java plums (jamuns) thoroughly. Place a kadai on medium heat, add the jamuns along with a little water, and cook for 2–3 minutes. Mash them well while cooking.
2. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and remove the seeds from the mashed jamuns.
3. Add the deseeded jamun pulp to a mixer grinder and blend into a smooth paste.
4. Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat. Add the sesame seeds and roast until golden. Allow them to cool slightly, then grind into a smooth paste.
5. In the same kadai, add the sesame paste and cinnamon stick. Sauté for 2–3 minutes until aromatic.
6. Add the jamun pulp and cook on medium heat for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens slightly.
7. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and let it cool for a minute.
8. Once slightly cooled, add honey and mix well until fully incorporated.
9. Spread the prepared jamun mixture generously over bread slices.
10. Serve immediately, or store the spread in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.
