G'DAY! Arron and I somehow had the BRILLIANT idea of staying overnight in an old gaol... much regrets. But hey, it's an experience right? In this video, we're continuing our Great Aussie Road Trip from Sydney to Adelaide, and now we're stopping in the second largest town in South Australia... Mount Gambier.
There were plenty of cozy accomodation options available, but we thought we'd test our nerves and stay at The Old Mount Gambier Gaol. This prison has some extensive history - opened in 1866 and closed in 1995. It housed a range of prisoners, guilty of petty crimes to murderers... AND also held executions. There are rumours of a ghostly figure roaming the prison grounds at night... so naturally Arron was keen to walk around at night as well *sigh*.
But this video isn't JUST about our prison hotel stay, we also show you some of Mount Gambier's unique geographical wonders. Stick around and please keep me company, because this video was scary to make.
