Five Acts: Your soul arrives in a wasteland in the form of a shadow, screaming like a creature in constant remorse. Then, you are met by Charon, the man from the boat who must transport the remnants of your existence across the Styx River in exchange for a coin to the Kingdom of Hades. Cerberus smells you, the hound of the underworld and guardian of its entrance, guards the dead and prohibits the living. You have arrived in Hades. The Judges will review your actions in life and dictate your sentence; your fate begins to be sealed. Finally, you have fallen into Tartarus, in the hidden depths, where the Titans live, and you will serve the pronouncement.

Has llegado al Hades.

Philosophy and Interpretation

In treatise XVIII of the Corpus Hermeticum, the Universe is compared to a tireless musician who "not only executes the harmony of the songs, but also sets the rhythm of the melody appropriate to each instrument." However, it speaks of a moral weakness in our body, which produces out-of-tune music that disconnects us from the Cosmos and identifies us as fallible humans. We can and should embrace that music; by embracing it, that weakness is transformed into strength. That is Black Metal; life is an imperfect path, a constant search for connection with that ancestral wisdom. Death, on the other hand, is understood in Hermeticism as a fiction because it is merely the dissolution of a union. Beings that dissolve do not disappear, but rather are transformed into an immortal cosmos.

“If the soul is found filthy by faults and stained by vices, the Supreme Demon hurls it from above to below, delivering it to the storms and whirlwinds in the place where discord between air, fire, and water occurs. This is its eternal punishment; and in this, it harms its own immortality, for it is subjected, by an immortal sentence, to endless torment.” Asclepius.

Asclepius.
