one-man black metal project I Proélefsi presents Ypógeio Vasíleio, a conceptual EP inspired by Greek mythology and Hermetic philosophy. Across five interconnected acts, the listener follows the soul's descent into the Underworld—from its arrival as a tormented shadow, through Charon's crossing of the Styx, the encounter with Cerberus, judgment before the Judges of Hades, and finally the eternal depths of Tartarus.
Musically, the EP combines atmospheric and melodic black metal with orchestral arrangements, creating a cinematic journey through the Kingdom of Hades. Beyond its mythological narrative, the work draws heavily from the Corpus Hermeticum, exploring themes of spiritual imperfection, transformation, mortality, and the eternal nature of the soul. Rather than portraying death as an end, Ypógeio Vasíleio presents it as a transition toward a greater cosmic existence.
