This is the final vlog from my Big Bear trip, and I couldn’t have asked for a better ending.
Before checking out, I shared breakfast with the other guests staying at the bed and breakfast. It was such a unique experience getting to meet new people, including a sweet retired couple who shared stories about their travels and why they love staying at bed and breakfasts. I had no idea this was such a popular way to travel, and it made my trip feel so much more personal.
Later, I went on a peaceful hike with my host and her dog before exploring the local farmers market. I picked up a few treats, including something for my dog back home, and ended the trip with some of the best vegan Mexican tacos I’ve ever had.
This little getaway reminded me that sometimes the most memorable trips aren’t about doing the most, they’re about slowing down, trying something new, meeting kind people, and appreciating the simple moments.
