In this video, I walk you through exactly how I cleaned my car’s interior to look brand new—all without expensive equipment. First, I vacuumed the entire interior to remove loose dirt. Then, I mixed a solution of about 5% hand soap with water in a spray bottle. I applied this soapy water to the carpet and seats, using a soft brush to agitate any dirt spots. After scrubbing, I used a vacuum to pull out the moisture and dirt. For the leather seats and dashboard, I applied a dedicated leather cleaning foam. I wiped it with a white microfiber cloth, flipping the cloth to a clean side each time to avoid cross-contamination. If I found any tough spots, I used a bit of Simple Green cleaner on them. After everything dried—about two hours with the doors open—I had a spotless, fresh interior.
