This is how I lost my phone on my second night out in Rio. But also how I managed to get it back. People always ask is Rio de Janeiro safe? Is Rio safe for a solo traveller? And through personal experience I can say that it is safe as long as you stay vigilant. But its like that everywhere in the world. But its all good now, the Rio adventures must continue!
