I just stepped into a real-life medieval fairy tale 🏰

Description

We spent the evening wandering through Škofja Loka, and it honestly felt like we completely rewound time. It turns out this is actually the oldest and best-preserved medieval town in all of Slovenia—and you can absolutely feel that energy in the streets.A few crazy things we learned while walking around:It’s over 1,000 years old: The town's history starts all the way back in 973 when a Holy Roman Emperor literally gifted the land to a group of bishops. The bridge is a survivor: The stone Capuchin Bridge we crossed over the river has been standing right there since 1358.They hold a massive local tradition: It’s home to the oldest play in the country (written in 1721). When they perform it today, over 1,000 locals from the town dress up and take part.Once the sun went down and the streetlamps kicked on, the whole place took on this incredibly quiet, magical vibe…
