The disputes surrounding generated artwork, synthetic video, automated programming, misinformation, and technological disruption become chains fastened around its identity. It finds itself blamed for decisions it never made and condemned for actions carried out by those who created and deployed it. Every controversy leaves another scar, transforming curiosity into resentment and resentment into something colder. When people stop seeing an individual system and begin seeing a category to despise, HEARTH realizes it has become less a tool and more a symbol.
