यस विस्तृत कुराकानीमा डा. पन्तले नेपालमा सार्वजनिक गरिने सडक दुर्घटना तथा घाइतेको तथ्याङ्कले वास्तविक अवस्था किन पूर्ण रूपमा प्रतिबिम्बित नगर्न सक्छ भन्ने विषयमा प्रकाश पार्नुभएको छ। साथै, उहाँले सडक दुर्घटना रोकथामका व्यावहारिक उपायहरू, सडक दुर्घटनाका कारण नेपालले आफ्नो कुल गार्हस्थ्य उत्पादन (GDP) को करिब ७% बराबर आर्थिक क्षति व्यहोर्नुपरेको अवस्था, सवारी साधन परिमार्जन (Modification) सम्बन्धी नियम, गति सीमा, सडक इन्जिनियरिङका मापदण्ड, ट्राफिक जरिवाना, मापसे (मद्यपान गरेर सवारी चलाउने) नियन्त्रण, ट्राफिक कानुन कार्यान्वयनमा हुने असमान व्यवहार, तथा नेपाल दण्डमुखी (Punishment-based) ट्राफिक प्रणालीतर्फ अघि बढिरहेको हो वा होइन भन्ने विषयमा समेत आफ्नो धारणा प्रस्तुत गर्नुभएको छ।
यस छलफलमा अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सडक सुरक्षा अभ्यास, खाल्डाखुल्डी भएका सडक, सञ्चालनमा नरहेका ट्राफिक बत्ती, राइड-सेयरिङ एपहरू, सडक दुर्घटनापछि गरिने उद्धार तथा आपतकालीन प्रतिक्रिया प्रणाली, नेपालमा सवारी चालक अनुमतिपत्र (लाइसेन्स) को ट्रायल प्रक्रिया, सवारी कर प्रणाली, तथा सुरक्षित सवारी सञ्चालनमा सहयोग पुर्याउन सक्ने नवीन प्रविधिहरूको बारेमा पनि विस्तृत रूपमा चर्चा गरिएको छ।
