I’m sharing my step-by-step beginner-friendly techniques for enhancing heavily hooded eyes. We’re focusing on realistic makeup placement, soft definition, lightweight complexion products, and subtle techniques that help lift and open the eyes while still looking like real skin in real life. No contouring or highlighting!
Today I’m creating this makeup look on my 69-year-old mother-in-law Jane, who has mature skin, heavily hooded eyes, sparse brows, pigmentation, and natural texture through the skin. My goal with this tutorial was not to completely transform or mask her features, but instead to softly enhance her natural beauty in a way that still feels wearable, comfortable, and genuinely recreatable at home.
This tutorial includes hooded eye makeup tips, mature skin makeup techniques, realistic makeup for women over 50, 60 and even 70, tightlining tricks for hooded eyes, soft everyday makeup, brow tips for sparse brows, and lightweight complexion techniques that still look skin-like and natural.
