Just like the store bought HONEYBUNS...except freshly made in your very own kitchen!! Never a crumb left from this moist and deliciously 10" X 15" gigantic HONEY BUN!! Fast & easy to make!! Perfect for potlucks, family and church gatherings!! ENJOY!! :)
HONEY BUN CAKE
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Spray or grease & flour a 10" by 15" baking pan, set aside
1 (15 oz) box yellow cake mix
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup water
1 cup sour cream
4 eggs
FILLING
1 cup light packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
GLAZE TOPPING
1-1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons milk, approx.
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
1. In a large mixing bowl. Add box cake mix, oil, water, eggs, and sour cream. Using hand mixer, beat on medium-high speed for 3 minutes. Scraping down sides of bowl.
2. In a medium bowl add brown sugar and cinnamon. Whisk together until well blended.
3. Pour half the cake batter into prepared baking pan. Evenly sprinkle brown sugar & cinnamon mixture on top. Evenly spread remaining cake batter on top.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.
5. Ten minutes before removing cake from oven, make glaze topping. In a small mixing bowl add confectioner's sugar, vanilla and milk. Whisk until smooth.
6. While cake is hot, add glaze topping and spread evening with a spatula or back of spoon.
