Description

Artist Michelle Sound (@michellesound.art) explains why her mixed-media works aren’t intended to be “pretty.”

Swan River and Indian Reserve No150 E are currently on display at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection as part of Fresh Air: New Acquisitions in Context.

In May, to launch the Jarislowsky Institute's "Beyond Wilderness" cross-country public lecture series, artists gathered at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection to discuss the landscape in contemporary Canadian art.
