There are many discussions on how the main guitar is bending up to an F. For this video, I went with a light gauge A-string at .42 and applied a neck bend each time I struck the low E, aiming for the sound of an F.

John Lennon used a Fender VI during the July 18th session. Later Paul played his Fender Jazz Bass on Take 17 and the final take 18. I used the Squire VI to replicate the chunky tone of the Fender Jazz Bass and Fender VI

There are guitar overdubs for the choruses and also little solos later on. The guitar tone changes for the main solo, so I used the Les Paul as the darker tone and speculated that it was George while the rest of this overdub track is Paul on his Epiphone Casino.

There are also some slide guitar parts that could either be a traditional slide or the 1967 Bartell Fretless prototype, which they were experimenting with at the time. Eastwood Guitars loaned us a Black Widow fretless guitar in 2019 and I had some of those parts laying around. It sounded accurate enough in the chaos that is Helter Skelter.

There are some squeaks that sound like a rubber ducky. I haven't seen any sources confirming this. Mal Evans and John Lennon also played trumpet and a tenor sax mouthpiece respectively. After the first chorus on the right channel, there are some glass clank sounds that we replicated with a tea cup and spoon.
