At 16, I thought my life was over.
I was ashamed of being pregnant. I hid behind oversized sweaters in the middle of summer because I didn’t want anyone to know. I was depressed, scared, and convinced everyone was judging me.
I went from 110 lbs to 170 lbs so quickly that I barely recognized myself. Looking back now, my heart breaks for that girl.
I wish I could tell her what was waiting on the other side.
I wish I could show her these photos.
The little boy who would make her laugh again.
The little boy who would give her a reason to keep going.
The little boy who would turn her lowest moment into the greatest blessing of her life.
Photo after photo, year after year, you can see it happening.
My smile gets bigger.
I become more confident.
I become happier.
Not because life was perfect, but because of him.
13 years later, I can honestly say that becoming his mom was the best thing that ever happened to me.
He didn’t ruin my life.
He saved it. ❤️
