“The Lord watches over you, the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.” – Psalm 121:5–6
The story behind this song: During a morning devotional in early 2025, I was reading Psalm 121 and was struck by the promise that God is watching over me. In that moment, the line came: “Oh, what peace it brings just to know I’m loved and seen.” I realized what a powerful truth that is, and the song began to take shape from there.
My prayer is that God would use this song to calm fears and anxieties in the uncertainties of the world we live in, and remind hearts that they are known, loved, and seen by Him.
