Description
GTA VI on PC at Launch?
Many people think a PS5 emulator will let them play GTA 6 on PC on launch day, but that's not true. Emulator development takes many years and is much more complicated than most people think.
The PS5 launched in 2020, and PS5 emulation is still in its early stages. The biggest milestone so far is getting GTA 5 to reach the main menu—it can't actually be played yet.
Emulators are mainly created by developers and enthusiasts to preserve games and solve technical challenges. By the time a console emulator is mature, most of those games are already several years old.
Bottom line: A PS5 emulator will not let you play GTA 6 on PC at launch. Rockstar's official PC version is expected to arrive long before PS5 emulation is capable of running the game.
