Description
Broccoli sprouts have more health benefits than the mature plant itself. To make the sprouts you need a mason jar, stainless steel mesh lid, and broccoli seeds. Add one tablespoon of broccoli seeds into the mason jar, cover the seeds with half a cup of water, or until they are completely submerged. Cover with stainless steel mesh lid. Let it soak overnight or couple of hours if you live in a hot climate zone. Drain the liquid after soaking, and lay the jar either sideways if it is completely drained of water or on a angle to slowly drain over a plate or the sink rack. Rinse the broccoli seeds twice a day and immediately drain the water. In a day or two, the sprouts will emerge, and couple of days you will have the sprouted seeds. After the sprouts are visible, place the mason jar on a window sill for the sprouts to produce chlorophyll for more health benefits of antioxidants that prevent formation of free radicals in the body, which are renegade cells that wreak havoc and produce oxidative stress. Broccoli sprouts are great for liver regeneration, hearth health, weight loss, lowering cholesterol, and the digestive system. You can simply eat the sprouts the way they are, or use some dressings like ranch, chipotle, green or red salsa, if it is more palatable for you or add the your salads and sandwiches. But the taste alone is not bad. Bone appetite! BeautyHealthTravel channel N.Z.
