Serge Devant’s "Addicted" is a timeless track that explores the sweet yet torturous nature of obsession, passion, and absolute surrender. It captures that state of mind where the lines between desire and dependency blur, leaving you completely exposed, yet incredibly alive.
Inspired by this hypnotic energy, we created a cover/reimagination that translates this story into an entirely new sonic universe.
The Sonic Direction
We kept the emotional core of the original but stripped away any disco elements or heavy backing vocals, steering the track into a deep, spiritual, and organic direction:
The Groove: A steady, premium 4/4 kick driving the track at 122 BPM, layered with organic percussions and hypnotic congas that lock you into a tribal trance.
The Atmosphere: A deeply spiritual atmosphere anchored by a warm rolling sub-bass and elevated by sophisticated jazz piano chords.
The Vocals: Pure intimacy. We focused on a single, soulful solo female vocal—kept completely intimate and dry, with no backing vocals—whispering the story directly to your soul.
